Kimi Gordy is a skilled privacy lawyer who specializes in advising Native American tribes and business corporations on privacy and data security matters. As a partner on BakerHostetler’s Digital Assets and Data Management team, she has handled hundreds of privacy and security incidents, ranging from sophisticated ransomware to employee theft. She guides tribal clients through all phases of incident response and has unique expertise related to the exercise of sovereignty and privacy compliance. Leveraging her experience, she also helps clients develop proactive risk strategies scaled to meet their unique organizational and cultural needs. Kimi has worked with tribal entities, Section 17 corporations, and tribally owned non-sovereign businesses on incident response and regulatory compliance. She has provided on-site support to tribes experiencing ransomware and has prepared privacy and data breach codes for implementation across government and gaming operations.
