Benjamin Koshy is the Chief Information Security of the Indian Health Service (IHS).  The IHS is an agency within the Department of Health and Human Services.  The IHS provides a comprehensive health service delivery system for approximately 2.6 million American Indians and Alaska Natives who belong to 574 federally recognized tribes in 37 states.

Mr. Koshy has worked at IHS for several years, starting his career as a help desk analyst in 2009 then joining the security team as an information systems security officer and later leading the incident response team before becoming the agency CISO.  In addition to IHS, he has worked as a consultant with Deloitte supporting the cybersecurity needs of multiple federal and commercial clients.  Along with his Masters of Science in Cybersecurity and Masters of Business Administration, Mr. Koshy holds several IT security certifications including (ISC) 2 Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) and EC-Council’s Certified Network Defense Architect (CNDA).  Mr. Koshy is also a recipient of the (ISC)2 Global Achievement Award for 2022.
