Matthew Duchesne

Matthew Duchesne is the Chief of the Federal Communications Commission’s Office of Native Affairs and Policy.  He oversees the Commission’s outreach to and engagement with Tribal governments and organizations, fostering a comprehensive understanding of Commission programs, policies, rules and decisions.  Before joining the Commission, Matthew worked on Tribal programs and issues for nearly 15 years at the Department of the Interior’s Bureau of Reclamation and the Department of Energy’s Office of Environmental Management.  He has also served as a Brookings Institution legislative fellow with U.S. Congresswoman Chellie Pingree and Senator Ron Wyden, and served as a Supreme Court fellow in the office of the late U.S. Chief Justice William Rehnquist.

He received Juris Doctorate and Master of Public Administration degrees from The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Miami University in Ohio.
